Job Description Protects property and persons on hospital premises; patrols buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism; staffs parking lot booth on rotating basis.
Patrols buildings and grounds of hospital and off-site properties to prevent fires, theft, and vandalism; inspects doors, windows, and locks to determine level of security.
Assures only authorized personnel are admitted onto hospital premises.
Assures hospital doors are locked and unlocked in compliance with established procedures.
Maintains current information in lost and found logs; notifies individuals when lost items are located.
Serves as a member of the Fire Control Team; responds to Code Red alerts.
Responds to all Shore Health System codes, as appropriate.
Investigates reported incidents of unusual circumstances; writes incident reports; documents investigatory steps and results.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in the security field or related responsible experience with public contact preferred but not required.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and proper cash handling ability.
Current driver's license and driving record meeting the minimum standards of the University of Maryland Medical System.
